Malaysian budget carrier Malindo Air catches fire at 2,000m above ground
PETALING JAYA (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - An airplane departing Kuala Lumpur for Kuala Terengganu in a domestic flight on Wednesday morning was forced to turn back to the Subang Airport after a fire broke out on the plane.
In a press statement, low-cost carrier Malindo Air said the ATR-72-600 twin-engine turboprop aircraft experienced the incident during ascent, at about 2,130m.
