the $ govt giving out, workers bonus, its for those abv 40 who r still working part time n not contributing CPF....
oh ya bros, can i noe that is it under the m.o.m law , work part time aso muz contribute cpf? cos i heard need to.. n so hor, if govt give money to those who nv contribute, after they fill up the form, the m.o.m can go n catch the employer n fine them rite? so in other words, rather then saying govt is sharing wealth wif the citizens, can i aso say that they r aso making use of them to catch employer who nv help employess contribute cpf? n earn more money through the fine levied on them?
i asking tis cos my mum is working part time wifout cpf contribution, so when she told her boss abt tis, her boss ask her not to fill up the form as scare he will kana caught.

Anyway, to answer your question: I used to work part time before and my employer dont pay CPF to workers who are part timer ..

Yes, it is smart of government to get such people to sign up for this bonus with conditions attached..

1. you post this kind of non-sex related thread, you not only emdager yourself, you also endager other samsters those reply to your post cos anytime SAM might one by one zap all who post in your such thread

2. Your question is easy to answer, just ask your mother
a. if she wants the workforce bonus, just go and fill up / send in the form.
b. if she scare her boss kena caught, then dun fill up / send in the form
(likewise you said before, if Singapore dun have woman charter law, you also prefer gals 13 - 15 y.o. cos their nipples very pinkish; but you dare not)

If you not sure, allow me to advise you - using full capital letters in a sentence / paragraph is meant to be rude in cyberspace .. in case you dun know.

As for my nick, its an abbrevation. You know wat is abbrevation - it means short form. Eg. SLE, CPF, SAF etc. Does these cap meant rude to you ??

As for your mother's dilemna, got 1 good no 2 good (hokkien = wu jit ho bo neng ho). There is no way if your mother wants the workforce bonus and her boss be worry-free. Anyway, its her boss to worry, not your mother.

If she really worry for her boss, then dun take the workforce bonus lah. Simple.

Budget highlights

Hope the following Singapore Budget highlights helps to work out our budget for cheong.

Cash for all adult Singaporeans:

$800 if you earn $24,000 or less a year and live in a four-room or smaller HDB flat
$600 if you earn more than $24,000 and live in a four-room or smaller HDB flat; or if you earn $24,000 or less and live in a five-room or larger HDB flat
$400 if you earn more than $24,000 and live in a five-room or larger HDB flat
$200 if you live in a landed home or if the annual value of your home is more than $10,000

Total: $1.4 billion

When: May 1, 2006

Workfare bonus for low-income workers aged 40 or older:

3 months' pay if you earn $400 or less a month

$1,200 if you earn $401 to $900 monthly
$800 if you earn $901 to $1,200 monthly
$400 if you earn $1,201 to $1,500 monthly

Total: $400 million

When: May 1, 2006 and May 1, 2007
Paid in 2006 for working 6 continuous months in 2005 and paid in 2007 for working 6 continuous months in 2006.

CPF top-ups for the elderly:

If you are 50 to 59 years old:

$600 if you live in a four-room or smaller HDB flat
$400 if you live in a five-room or larger HDB flat
$100 if you live in a landed property or large private property

If you are 60 or older:

$800 if you live in a four-room or smaller HDB flat
$600 if you live in a five-room or larger HDB flat
$200 if you live in a landed property or large private property

Total: $500 million

When: May 1, 2006
Half the amount into Special and half to Medisave Accounts

Bonus for NSmen:

$400 if you are a former NSman
$100 if you are a full-time or active NSman
$300 when your NS training cycle ends

Total: $200 million

When: May 1, 2006 and when your training cycle ends in the future
Key NS personnel will get an additional $2000 tax rebate above what they normally receive as NSmen.

Rebates for HDB residents:

$200 utilities, four months service and conservancy (S&C) rebates, and three months rental waiver if you live in a one-room HDB flat
$200 utilities, three months S&C rebates, and 1 1/2 months rental waiver if you live in a two-room HDB flat
$100 utilities and two months S&C rebates if you live in a three-room HDB flat
$80 utilities and 1 1/2 months S&C rebates if you live in a four-room HDB flat
$60 utilities and 1/2 month S&C rebates if you live in a five-room HDB flat

Total: $60 million


Note: A letter will be sent out in March 2006. To receive the payments, all must sign up through ATMs, website or return hard copy.
