An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
AMK GRC residents are a privileged lot as they now get to decide on behalf of the whole Singapore if Tharman will be our next PM.
We all know PAP will be returned as Govt. But to be able to deny them a 2/3 majority at this stage would be a massive step forward for opposition and Singaporeans.
Now if the 60.1% taking cover in AMK GRC are afraid that they would lose a PM if they voted for opposition, rest assured it's not the case. Instead of losing a PM, a vote for the opposition effectively means Tharman will be the new PM. That is, of course, on the condition that Tharman is able to sustain the opposition onslaught in his own backyard.
The opposition contesting in AMK GRC must, apart from offering themselves as the alternative to the incumbent, should enlighten the residents the additional offer a vote for opposition in the AMK GRC brings - a new PM for Singapore.
The opposition should put in some good words for Tharman to be our next PM.
