The North Korean leader had his men carry out missile firing exercises.
The despotic tyrant had his multiple launch rocket system division of the Korean People’s Army carry out firing practice, and expressed satisfaction with the results.

A night combat flight drill in which pilots were required to fire at designated targets particularly pleased the North Korean leader, who said the planes his targets with such precision it “made him think that he guided the drill in daytime, not at night”.

His army’s latest weapons drill caused concern that the notoriously secretive leader was planning an invasion of South Korea, after soldiers fired on a mock up of the South Korean presidential office.

This comes as experts warned of North Korea’s intention to launch a long-range submarine with high-powered ballistic missile capabilities into international waters.

The Soviet-inspired project is believed to be capable of deploying rockets larger than a KN-11 submarine-launched ballistic missile, after testing which took place in August.


And Asian security expert Chris Ogden, of St Andrews University, said new developments in Northern Korean military technology could “broaden the potential of a nuclear attack”.

Tensions between North and South Korea have in recent months threatened to hit boiling point – and both nations possess the capability to wipe the other out at a moment’s notice.

Kim’s military also has nuclear firepower with the ability to reach Britain and the US.
