Perhaps this only happen in Singapore?

PAP depends on new citizens during election.

Book shops nowadays do not sell books. If you go to Popular and Kinokuniya book shops, they sell more stationery, household utensils and toys and CDs.

Car Distributors heavily rely on selling and promoting cars insurance.

Post office also sells stationery, IT products, hard disks etc etc.

Orchard Road businesses rely on Pinoy maids on Sunday, otherwise the whole orchard road is very quiet!

In NTUC Union, their core business is not to protect worker interest but their are operating supermarket, club house etc.

In Football club, their core business is not to train players and making money from player transfer fee. Their core business is Jackpot machine.

In Church, their activities are not just providing a place for pray but selling Olive Oil and China Wine.

In chinese herbal shops, they also sell milk powders and tooth paste etc.

In Singapore Press Holdings, their non core businesses such as property is more than their core businesses as people do not read Singapore news anymore
