Popular Singapore nightclub shut down after human faeces found on dancefloor

A popular nightclub in Singapore was temporarily shut for cleaning after human faeces were discovered on the dance floor last Friday night.
The venue’s management, who have filed a press injunction to prevent media from naming the club, have announced that professional cleaners have been hired to ensure the dance floor is cleaned thoroughly.
According to witnesses at the club, the faeces were discovered near the DJ booth at around 12:30 AM, when the venue was almost full. It’s believed that several of the guests had inadvertently stepped in the faeces before the venue’s security team cordoned off the area.
It is not yet known who was responsible for the mess, and the venue is said to be reviewing the CCTV footage of the night to see if they can identify the culprit. However, one witness who was at the club believes a particularly-intoxicated woman could be involved.
“There was one woman who was very drunk, and I did see her squatting near the DJ booth [where the faeces were discovered],” said the man. “She was also wearing a skirt, which would have made it easier for her to defecate, as opposed to someone wearing pants.”
There’s no word yet on when the venue will reopen, but management have assured guests that the dance floor will be completely sanitized by the professional cleaning team.
In a statement published on the club’s Facebook page, management wrote: “We apologise to any guests who were affected by the incident on Friday night, and we will ensure that there is no repeat of this incident in future. If anyone has any information regarding the identity of the culprit, we would urge them to come forward and are offering a reward of SG$500.”
